Taking heavy inspiration from the Honey chrome extension, our team devised a way to get automotive dealers to start seeing the power of machine learning and how it could effect retailing outcomes on their lot.

By crunching the numbers on how long a car has been sitting on lot and how much it is being priced at, dealers could finally compare their inventory vs other dealers and even see how it was ranking on various search results pages like autotrader and cars.com.

Methodology

Immediately with two scenarios in mind; a current client with Google Analytics set up or a new user entirely, we began concepting on an application that would have relevant and actionable data for both clients and non-clients alike.

Prospective clients would be able to use the free extension in conjunction with Vauto or other pricing tools.

As they developed into onboarded clients, they would able to now launch VIN-specific retargeting campaigns.

Facilitating and encouraging customer acquisition, as well as developing a cart function to monetize the app were major considerations within the "Free-mium" model.
